The trial at stean on Saturday 28th July
The weather was good to us with a heavy shower just before we set off which meant the dogs had damp rushes and grass to hunt . A plentiful supply of healthy rabbits kept them going nicely.
Quite a few dogs went out for one reason or another but it was judged well by Mick Hewitson and Eddie Scott and on the other side was Richard Wells and Steve Charlton.
The winner was Buccleugh Quince owned and handled by Tina Nicholas, second was Borransfell Spice owned handled by A.Graveson. There was no third given. Three COMs where awarded to Rydanlue Unique owned and handled by S McGuire. Hagghouse Bruin owned and handled by J Baldwin. And last but not least S Grace with Tynegrove Centrefold of Ecarg. A good trial all round.
A big thanks to Chapel Farm dog food for there sponsorship and Ian Openshaw for the use of his training ground,Nick Packer the keeper and the kind permission of the land owner Lord Vesty.
